Life Reflections

Jessie Jerome Mitchum affectionately known as "Gee" was born on July 15, 1952 in Georgetown County, South Carolina to the late David Mitchum and the late Pauline Scott Mitchum. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

"Gee" was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County, SC. At an early age he accepted Christ and attended church services to worship the Lord.

"Gee" was employed with the City of Florence, Black River Hardwood and Lumber, and had many other recreational jobs before retiring. "Gee" was a very humble and quiet person to be around. He loved to tend to his garden. He gained a lot of friendships in his community.

Jessie leaves to cherish his loving memories: one son, Rodney Conyers of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Thomasena (Frank) Mitchum of Kingstree, SC, and Janice Tisdale of Rochester, NY; two special cousins, Pearl (Joseph) Brown of Kingstree, SC  and Tillman (Sabrina) Scott of Lake City, SC; a close friend, Bernard McClary of Lake City, SC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving friends and family at 515 Reed Road Apt 4A, Kingstree, SC.
