Obituary

With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Jeremy McBride, of Austin, TX, who passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Obituary

Jeremy McBride of Austin, Texas, transitioned from earth to eternity on October 4, 2026. He was born on October 26, 1995, in Burglengenfeld, Bayern, Germany, to Melvin McBride and Ophelia Myers-McBride. He was the fourth of five sons.

He is recently followed in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Lee Adkinson-Myers of Varnville, South Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2026.

He received his education in the German Hauptschule, and the Hohenfels American Elementary and High School in Hohenfels, Germany. Upon moving to the United States in 2012, Jeremy attended Oak Hills High School in Oak Hills, California where he graduated. Following graduation, Jeremy joined the United States Air Force. He completed Basic Military Training at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, and served in the military as a Computer Technology Technician in Cyber Security.

Beyond his accomplishments, Jeremy will be remembered most for the young man he was at heart. He was loving, friendly, easygoing, and full of life, with a personality that could light up a room. Among his brothers, Jeremy often served as the peacemaker, bringing a calming presence to the family and reminding those around him that love was always greater than disagreement. He had a special way of making people laugh, easing tense moments with his humor, and turning ordinary gatherings into memories that would be treasured for years to come.

Jeremy found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved drawing, fishing, playing computer games, cooking, sharing good food, talking, laughing, and spending time with the people who mattered most to him. Jeremy would call his mother and video chat with her every two weeks, which was a special time for them both.  Jeremy also deeply loved his siblings. Like brothers everywhere, they shared their own laughter, disagreements, unforgettable moments, and a bond that only family can understand.

Left to cherish his precious memory are: his father, Melvin McBride (Brenda) of New

Zion, SC; his mother, Ophelia Myers-McBride of Ruffin, SC; his brothers, Jason McBride of Mesa, AZ, Joshua McBride of Dover, DE, Justin McBride of Charleston, SC, Jessey McBride of Las Vegas, NV and his stepbrother, Joshua Edwards of Colorado Springs, CO; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.

The family will be receiving friends and family starting on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 2125 Walker Gamble Road, New Zion, SC.

All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC. 843-354-2292.
