With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Jenny L. Peterson Wilburn, 59, of Miramar, FL, (formerly of Kingstree, SC), wife of Roy Wilburn, who passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Obituary

Jenny Lynn Peterson Wilburn, affectionately known as "Faye" to family and friends was born on March 15, 1965 in Kingstree, South Carolina to Roosevelt Peterson and Lelia "Anna" Peterson.

Faye attended the public schools of Williamsburg County, South Carolina and was a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School, Class of 1983. She was employed with Hertz Car Rental from high school until 1999. Later, she was employed with Mohawk for 25 years. Faye was a virtual member of New Life United Methodist Church and served with Faith, Activity and Nutrition (F.A.N.) Committee. Her community service included being active with Way Makers Outreach Ministry's monthly birthday celebrations for Special Needs, clothing drive for displaced families, Thanksgiving family baskets, youth sports, and she supported the Wesley Foundation Fall Retreat. Faye had a love for crafting and spending time with family, both near and far. She was a helping hand to all, kind, caring, loving reliable and loyal and she enjoyed cooking and baking.

Jenny Lynn Peterson Wilburn transitioned from earthly life to her eternal home on April 29, 2024 in Miramar, Florida.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Royal and Rosa Peterson and Joseph and Anna Poinsette; a sister, Lillie Peterson Washington and nephew, Keron McElveen.

Treasured memories will be cherished by...her husband of 28 years, Roy Wilburn; daughter, Dimonique Wilburn; son that she raised as her own, Anthony Smith; parents, Roosevelt and Lelia "Anna" Peterson; brothers, Jimmy Peterson (Catherine) of Myrtle Beah, SC and Roy Lee Peterson of Opa Locka, FL, Ron Brayboy of Greenville, SC and bonus brother, Ivan Wineglass of Omaha, NE; sisters, Carolyn Epps of Kingstree, SC, Reverend Shirley Gordon (Rev. Enrique) of Orangeburg, SC, Roslyn Peterson and bonus sister, Sadie Moyd both of Kingstree, SC; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Betty Wilburn; sister-in-law, Raydeen Wilburn of Atlanta, GA; bonus daughter Jacquelin Blake; brother-in-law, Gregory Washington of Kingstree, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as bonus children with extended family and friends.
