In Loving Memory of Jeffery Miller
February 17, 1953 – February 22, 2026
Jeffery Miller , affectionately known as "Cheetah," "Pistol," "Cat Daddy," and "Cheetah Ro," was born on February 17, 1953, in the Bloomingvale community of Williamsburg County, South Carolina, to the late Eugene Miller and Lula McGill Miller. Jeffery transitioned from this earthly life to a better home on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Tideland Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, South Carolina.
Jeffery received his education in Williamsburg County, attending St. Mark Elementary and High School, where he graduated in 1972. While in school, he enjoyed football, basketball, and band, eventually becoming the Drum Major of the St. Mark High School Band.
At a young age, he attended Bethlehem Holiness Church of Andrews, SC, and later joined Asbury United Methodist Church of Andrews, SC. He remained a faithful member of Asbury until his health began to decline. While attending Asbury, he served on the Male Choir, was an active member of the United Methodist Men, and served as a Trustee. Jeffery truly loved his church family.
Jeffery's love for sports never faded. That passion carried over into his family life, as he was often found coaching from the sidelines at football, basketball, baseball games, and track meets for his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted sports fan whose favorite NBA team was the New York Knicks and favorite NFL team was the Miami Dolphins.
After graduation, Jeffery relocated briefly to Rochester, New York, before returning home to Andrews, South Carolina. Once back home, he worked various jobs before spending many years at Swinnie Supply.
Jeffery later found what he considered his ideal job at the Georgetown Housing Authority, working in the Maintenance Department under the supervision of Mr. Martin Mayes, whom he affectionately called "Boss Man." Jeffery worked there for 18 years, forming friendships that lasted until his passing. When medical issues began to develop, he resigned but continued to help whenever possible.
After leaving Georgetown Housing Authority, Jeffery worked many odd jobs in plumbing, HVAC, and maintenance, often alongside his dear friend John Ervin and Richard Staggers. Known for his giving spirit, if Jeffery could help you, he would.
In addition to his parents, Jeffery was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Miller Sr.; one sister-in-law, Deloris Miller; and one brother-in-law, Lester "Woody" Grant.
Jeffery Miller will forever be remembered for his love of family, his helping heart, his laughter, his cooking, and the joy he brought into every room. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
