Life Reflections

James A. "Junnie" Washington, Jr. was born on November 28, 1957 to the late Mr. James A. Washington and Lucille Burch Washington. James departed this life on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at UNC Health Care Hospital, North Carolina, at the age of 66.

James was preceded in death by one of his four siblings.

James grew up in Pineville, South Carolina. He attended the public schools of Berkeley County, South Carolina. He worked at Georgia Pacific.

At an early age he joined Pilgrim Baptist Church, Pineville, SC.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Iris Simmons Washington and to this union two children were born, Teneshia Washington and James Washington, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Teneshia Washington of Pineville, SC, James Washington, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, James L. Mosely and Trashaun A. Mosely both of New York; three siblings, Minister Annie R. (Deacon Ed) Milford of St. Stephen, SC, Barry (Karen) Washington of Georgetown, SC and Tommy (Yolanda) Washington of Pineville, SC; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild; a loving friend, Dorothy Briggs of Kingston, NC; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Washington; a special niece, Annie Cooper; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 3731 Highway 45, Pineville, SC.
