Life Reflections

James Malcolm McBride, son of the late Ben McBride Sr. and Twedith "Bump" McBride was born on December 19, 1949, in Salters, South Carolina. On Saturday morning, June 27, 2026, our Lord and Savior called James Malcolm McBride to his eternal home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Ben Jr., Clifton and Lambert and two sisters, Mattie Lou and Yvonne.

James Malcolm McBride, affectionally called "Mac" received his formal education in the public schools of Williamsburg County and graduated from Blakely High School. James became a member of St. Mary A.M.E church at an early age. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

After graduating, he relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina where he was employed as a welder for several years. He then relocated to Brooklyn, New York where he was employed as a truck driver. After an illness, he returned to South Carolina, reconnected with the church and started attending the Hopewell Senior Daycare Center.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his children, LaDon Palmer of the home, James Palmer and Sheila Coulter both of Neeses, SC, Myesha Cooke of Killeen, TX, Steven McBride of Lawrenceville, GA, and Charles McBride of Queens, NY; four brothers, Melvin (Brenda) McBride of New Zion, SC, Rev.
