James Edward Fulton, born on February 7, 1947, in Kingstree, South Carolina, was a beloved son of the late Elmore and Mary York Fulton. A man whose life was defined by humility, warmth, and steady dedication, James was a welcoming presence to all who knew him.

After completing high school at Tomlinson High, James began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver with the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company. Following his retirement from Pepsi-Cola, he continued serving his community behind the wheel as a driver for Williamsburg Transit. He was previously married to Bobby Fulton.

James was a farmer at heart with a lifelong love for the land. He took deep pride in the honest work of the soil, spending countless hours gardening, outdoor cooking, and enjoying the simple beauty of the outdoors. Known for his friendly, humble, and quick-witted personality, James had a natural gift for lifting spirits with an easy smile or a sharp joke, making everyone around him feel like family.

Above all, James treasured his role as a grandfather. His eyes lit up whenever his family was near, and his patience, gentle humor, and steady presence left an indelible mark on the generations that followed him. Whether sharing stories over a cooked meal, offering quiet wisdom, or simply spending time together, he filled his home with warmth and love.

James's legacy lives on in the fields and gardens he tended, the laughter he brought into every room, and the deep love he showed to his family every day. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always held close in our hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters and sons, Barbara Fulton, Teresa Fulton, Jocelyn Fulton and James (SAN) Fulton; brother, Elmore (Esther) Fulton; grandchildren, Shanequa, LaTesha, Emanuel, Destiney, Shavona, Damazha, Jerbar, Kamryn, and James; great grandchildren, Tatrez, Tavorris, Ali, Cehphire, Khaza, Kyndel, Denorie and Mecca; cousins, Mary (Oliver) Bull, Emma Fulton, Mary Horton; and a host of other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will begin receiving friends and family on Monday, August 3, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at 16 Joshua Lane, Kingstree, S.C.
