Life Reflections
Jacqueline Ramsey Hurell, the first born child to the late Jerome, Sr. and Roxcena Ramsey, was born on October 22, 1966 in Georgetown County, South Carolina. She passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Jacqueline started school at Andrews High School, Andrews, SC. She later moved to Baltimore, MD where she went to Southwestern High School. She relocated back to South Carolina in 1996. She attended Brown Chapel MBC as a little girl and was always in church with her grandmother, the late Rozena Timmons. She was baptized and became a member of Brown Chapel MBC, and sang with the Senior Choir. Jacqueline was always willing to help when needed until her health failed. She was employed with Days Inn for ten years, Colonial Inn for three years and Four Point Sheraton for two years. Jacqueline was a fun person to be around and love to make people laugh but "please don't make her mad".
Jacqueline was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was also very kind to everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jerome, Sr. and Roxcena Ramsey; her husband, Jake Hurell; her son, Dayvon Jones; her sister, Joyce Chandler; her grandson, Isiah Jones and stepson, Ronald Hurell.
Jacqueline leaves many memories to her family and friends. Those who will cherish her fond memories are: her daughter, Janay Figueroa (Daniel); her sons, Rayvon Jones of Charlotte, NC, Jayvon Jones and Christopher Levine both of Andrews, SC; stepchildren, Joanna Deas (William), Austin Hurell (Delores) of Andrews, SC, Jerome Hurell of Conway, SC and Michelle Hurell of Washington, DC; one brother, Jerome Ramsey, Jr. (Mia) and one sister, Alisha Ramsey both of Andrews, SC; eight aunts; four uncles; eight grands, Cordez, Jakarius, Azhyria, Ray'Ona, Ray'Arrie, Omarri, Kamijay and Jay'Ahni; one great grand, Dha'Sir; a special friend, Robert Linen; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family is receiving friends and family at her late residence, 325 Parker Village Road, Andrews, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Andrews, SC. 843-354-2292.
