With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Irene Gaillard, 72, of St. Stephen, SC, wife of Curtis Gaillard, who passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

Life Reflections

Mrs. Irene Gaillard, daughter of the late Mary N. Patterson and Issac White was born March 12, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina. On June 10, 2025, Irene peacefully departed this life at her home.

Irene accepted Christ at an early age and attended Mount Moriah Church in Charleston, South Carolina. She completed her education at Rivers High and went on to continue her education at Trident Technical College. She later pursued a career with Dupont, and worked there until she retired.

Irene lived by the motto "If I can help someone, my living won't be in vain". She was kind and loving, with a quiet spirit.

Irene was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Mick Taylor Jr. and her stepdaughter, Shannon Greene.

Irene leaves to cherish her fond memories: her loving husband, Curtis L. Gaillard; one son, Curtis Gaillard Jr.; her sister, Lutricia Tyler; her brother, Harvey III (Pamela) Patterson; her step daughters, Wanda Greene and Terrie Dingle; her grandsons, Dwayne J. Sumpter, Joequise Wright, Curtis Gaillard III; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Wiggins, Doris Dantzler, Joann Gaillard, Juanita Dingle, Martha Gaillard, Jestine Gaillard, Beverly Johnson and Michelle Gaillard; her brothers-in-law, Leroy Dantzler, Alphonza Gaillard, James Gaillard, Tommie Johnson and Wilarous Lara; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
