Myers-Murray
Jul 11, 1966 — May 14, 2024
Kingstree
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Gloria Ann Myers-Murray, 56, of Kingstree, SC, who passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Broward Health Medical Center, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Life Reflections
Gloria Ann Myers-Murray was born on July 11, 1966 to the union of Theron Sr. and Pauline Myers.
Gloria received her formal education through the public schools of Williamsburg County, South Carolina, where she graduated in the Class of 1984.
Gloria obtained her nursing license and was employed with Carolina Health System for fifteen years.
Gloria accepted Christ at an early age and attended Canaan A. M. E. Church. There she served as YPD Director, trustee, choir member, usher and assistant class leader.
Gloria was an avid traveler and loved cruising. She loved hanging with her group of friends on their monthly Saturday outings, that she would coordinate. She loved cheering for her Dallas Cowboys and wearing the color purple as she was a Lupus warrior. She loved her family, but most importantly her three daughters and four grandchildren. Gloria also became an esteemed member of SC #341 Eastern Star. Gloria loved music, dancing, makeup and of course her eyelashes. A girls girl indeed!
Gloria departed this earthly life on May 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Theron Myers, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Latasha Garvin (Octavis) of Columbia, SC, Olivia Murray of Kingstree, SC and Tameka Murray-Chebii (Jacob) of Society-Hill, SC; four grandchildren, Devontae, Jaylnn, Aydin and Elijah; her mother, Pauline Myers of Kingstree, SC; two brothers, Theron Myers, Jr. and Fredrick (Denise) Myers; four nieces, Annastasia, Amber, Jaquita and Jasmine; along with many other relatives and friends.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC. 843-354-2292.
