Life Reflections

Genevieve Montgomery transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was born on February 2, 1940 in Lake City, South Carolina to the late Ira and Millie Graham.

Genevieve received her education through the Florence County School District 3 at Carver High School. She was employed at numerous sewing plants and for twenty years at Coleman Company, Inc. branch of Lake City, SC.

At an early age, Genevieve attended Nettie's Temple FBC, where she developed a deep love for and understanding of the Lord. She later became the church mother, she was a beacon of light wherever she went, never meeting a stranger and always enjoying the company of others. Genevieve was known for her servant's heart, taking great pride in helping others and the work she did. Her infectious laughter could be heard from miles away, and her warm presence uplifted those around her. She cherished her family and took joy in being there for them, continuing to care for loved ones in her later years.

Genevieve had a nurturing spirit and found great happiness in her pride and joy, her children whom she always spoke of with love and admiration. To know Genevieve was to love her. She showed concern and care for everyone she met.

Genevieve leaves to cherish her precious memories: her sons, Donnie (Mable) Montgomery of Turbeville, SC and Dwayne Simon of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two daughters, Hope Montgomery of Scranton, SC and Joanne Brown of West Palm Beach, FL; one devoted brother, Alfred Graham of Lake City, SC; one devoted sister, Clanzy Graham of Lake City, SC; along with a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
