With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Eva Louise McCrea, 97, of Kingstree, SC, widow of Charlie McCrea, who passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Life Reflections

Mother Eva Louise McCrea was born on June 5, 1928 in Manning, South Carolina to the late Gladys Armstrong. She entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Louise attended the public schools of Clarendon County. Later in life, she married the late Charlie McCrea and moved to Kingstree, SC. To this union fourteen children were born. She raised nine (9) children, four (4) of whom preceded her in death, Roger McCrea, James Edward McCrea, Cindy Ann McCrea and Virginia Ann (Tump) McCrea.

Eva leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Deacon William McCrea and Pastor Charles (Doris) McCrea both of Kingstree, SC, Lee Ernest (Viriginia) McCrea of Columbia, SC and Elder Dannie (Shirleen) McCrea of Hopkins, SC; one daughter, Linda (Rev. Anthony) Brown of Greeleyville, SC; one she took as a daughter, Georgia Mae Cunningham of Kingstree, SC; twenty-five (25) grandchildren; forty-four (44) great grandchildren; two (2) great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving friends and family at 33 James Clyburn Boulevard, Kingstree, SC.
