With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Eugene P. Dukes, 85, of Lane, SC, widower of the late Sadie Dukes, who passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Life Reflection

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing."  II Timothy 4:7-8

Eugene P. Dukes, age 85, was born in Williamsburg County, South Carolina, on April 11, 1939, to the late Beulah Mae Pompey and King Dukes.

Eugene departed this earthly life on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Eugene was employed with the South Carolina Department of Transportation as a Road Maintenance Worker.

Eugene was preceded in death by his late wife, Sadie Dukes; his mother and father and one sister, Deloris Dukes.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one devoted daughter, Sandra Dukes of Lane, SC; a dedicated brother-in-law, Alexander (Gladys) Durant of Lane, SC; a host of other relatives and dear friends.
