Life Reflections
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing."
2 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)
Earnest Brown was born on May 16, 1938, in Pineville, South Carolina to the late Daisy and Earnest Brown Sr. Earnest was called to eternal rest on March 10, 2026 at his residence in Pineville, South Carolina, surrounded by his loving family.
He was educated in the Berkeley County school system. He was a very humble and hardworking man who loved his family unconditionally.
After dedicating thirty-six years of his life to Georgia Pacific, in Russellville, SC, he finally stepped into retirement, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. He was the kind of man who never sought the spotlight but would let his actions speak for him every single day.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Charlie Mae Cleveland Brown; two daughters, Diane Brown and Valerie Cleveland; two grandsons, Corey Brown and Darnell Cleveland; one sister, Ruth Thompson and one brother, Charles Williams, Jr.
Earnest and his late wife Charlie Mae shared an incredible journey of love and commitment, celebrating sixty-four years of marriage filled with laughter, challenges, and unwavering support for one another. Their bond became the foundation of a beautiful family, leaving to cherish his memories: four wonderful children, Earnest (Erica) Brown and Daisy Mae Brown, both of St. Stephen, SC, Lee Thomas (Gail) Brown and Tony Brown, both of Pineville, SC. Beyond their children, they were blessed with a host of grandchildren: Angel, Kendedra, Miquel, Sharnice, Latisha, Inequa, Jalen, Dominique, Kelly, Theresa, Glenn, Ashley, Deonna, and Jabari; great grandchildren, and even great, great-grandchildren. Each generation was touched by the love and values Earnest and Charlie Mae instilled. He also leaves behind two sisters, Beatrice (James) Rembert of Pineville, SC and Edna (Donald) Williams of Charleston, SC; four sisters-in-law, Deloris Appleby, Marie (Mike) Mobley, Matilda Perkins and Paula (Kerry) Mitchell, all of Pineville, SC; one brother-in-law, Mark (Carolyn) Cleveland of Pineville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
