With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Dwayne Haynes, Sr., 55, of Charleston, SC, (formerly of St. Stephen, SC), who passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Life Reflections

Dwayne Haynes Sr., the son of the late Ollie and Ruthie Haynes, was born on June 10, 1969. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tisha Lorraine Haynes.

Dwayne worked at Detyen's Shipyard in his early ages of life and if you needed anything repaired on your vehicle, he was always one call away, willing to get under a vehicle.

Dwayne attended the public schools of Berkeley County. He was very smart and instilled the importance of education in his children.

Dwayne was married to Willie Mae Milligan Haynes. From this union are three children, Chanique (Clarence) Baxter, Dwayne Haynes, Jr. and Tyneshia Haynes.

Most knew him as "Pop". Dwayne was a great man and awesome father. When you would see him, he was always polite, smiling, and holding conversations with everyone because as he would say "Everyone in St. Stephen, that they ya cousin too!"

On Monday, September 9th, 2024, God saw Dwayne's life was complete and brought him home to be with his mother and father.

Dwayne leaves behind to cherish his memories: three small children, Tywayne, Haynes, Justice Haynes and Jordan Haynes; special children he raised, Javan Rose, Sr., Marquez Milligan, Jasmine Morris and Crystal Morris; two sisters, Tonya (Gregory) Mazyck of Moncks Corner, SC and Tasia (Dewayne) Smalls of Virginia Beach, VA; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of St. Stephen, SC. 843-354-2292.
