On Sunday, June 21, 2026, DuQuan Lorenzo McFadden peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus at his home in Cades, South Carolina.

DuQuan Lorenzo McFadden was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on August 22, 1982, to George Ann McFadden Grimmage and the late David Burgess of Kingstree, SC. Though born to one father, he was fortunate to be loved and raised by his stepfather, Vincent Grimmage and supported throughout his life by a devoted father figure, Harold Pope whom he loved and cherished. In addition to his biological father, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Beatrice Elizabeth Staggers who played an integral part in his upbringing

DuQuan received his formal education in the public schools of Georgetown County, SC. Throughout his employment career, he has held various managerial positions in the fast-food industry across Lowcountry, SC where he was respected for his leadership, dedication, and work ethic.

DuQuan was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and triend. He was kindhearted and loved by everyone who met him. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he enjoyed listening to quartet gospel music and found peace and guidance through his personal relationship with God. He lived life to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to laugh, make others smile, and create lasting memories with those he loved. He was known for his sense of humor and could brighten any room and make friends wherever he went.

Family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

DuQuan is survived by his mother, George Ann (Vincent) Grimmage of Georgetown, SC; devoted father figure, Harold Pope, Kingstree, SC.
