With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Doris Leeann Hammond, 39, of Kingstree, SC, who passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Life Reflections

Doris Leeann Hammond was born on March 9, 1985 to Dorothy Hammond and the late Johnny Lee Hammond, Jr. in Florence, South Carolina. She was the oldest of three children. Doris entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at MUSC Health - Black River Medical Center, Cades, South Carolina.

Doris attended the public schools of Williamsburg County, South Carolina and graduated with the Class of 2004.

Throughout her life, she worked various jobs that included: supervisor at The Caribbean Resort and Villas, Myrtle Beach, SC, cashier at Tanner's Money Saver, Kingstree and Greeleyville, SC, cashier at Sam's Quick Stop, Kingstree, SC, and housekeeping at Nan Ya Plastics, Lake City, SC.

Doris enjoyed cooking. She loved making up her own beats for her daughter, as well as her nieces and nephew. Her favorite pastime was adventurous activities with the apple of her eye, her daughter, De'Moni.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Lee Hammond, Jr., paternal grandparents, Rev. John and Everlena Hammond, and maternal grandparents, Charles, Jr. and Lucilla Bull.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are: one daughter, De'Moni Hammond of the home; her mother, Dorothy H. (Robert) Shaw of the home; one brother, Johnny Lee Hammond III of Kingstree, SC; one sister, Charlena H. (Jamie) Mouzon of Kingstree, SC; six nieces; one nephew; nine aunts, Jannie Lou (Frank) Tisdale, Trina B. (Quincy) Johnson, Justine (Oliver) Fulton, Leola Hammond all of Kingstree, SC, Rebecca (Truman) Dorsey of Columbia, SC, Herlene Hammond, Darlene Hammond both of Lake City, SC, Kattie (Michael) Tisdale of Savannah, GA and Shirley (Henry) Crawford of Spartanburg, SC; six uncles, Richard (Subrena) Bull, Frank (special friend, Polly) Hammond, Steven (Elouise) Hammond all of Kingstree, SC, Charles B. (Naquana) Bull of Lake City, SC, Phillip Hammond of Riceboro, GA and Apostle King (Queen) Winner of Santa Ana, CA; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 79 Othel Lane, Kingstree, SC.
