With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of David Brown, 73, of Lake City,  SC, husband of Deborah Jones-Brown, who passed away on Friday,  April 24, 2026.

Life Reflections

David Brown, son of the late Lloyd Brown and Ola Mae Brown, was born on December 10, 1952, in Florence, South Carolina. He passed into eternal sleep on Friday, April 24, 2026.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by: a son, Derrick Brown; three brothers, Malachia Brown, Odell Brown and Lloyd Brown, Jr; and three sisters, Oletha Cameron, Mary Pearlease Davis, and Inez Fulmore.

He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

David resided in Lake City, South Carolina and worked as a construction worker for thirty years with G&M Construction. His hobbies were fishing and building.

Loved ones left to cherish his memories: his wife, Deborah Jones Brown of Lake City, SC; one son, Cornelius McKnight of Kingstree, SC; one daughter, Carmesha Brown (Marcus) Holmes of Lake City, SC; two brothers, McCurry (Mildred) Brown and Jonathan (Rosa) Brown, both of Lake City, SC; one sister, Pernett Brown of Greenville, NC; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; a special friend, Doug Moore of Lake City, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 657 Moore Road, Lake City, SC.
