Dan William Nowlin, Jr., affectionately known as Mook, was born on April 8, 1972, to Dan and Joeretta Nowlin in Cades, South Carolina.

Dan attended Goodwill Freewill Baptist Church where he participated in various activities in the church.

Dan attended Kingstree High Schol and graduated Class of 1990. Dan then ventured off to The University of South Carolina of Columbia, SC, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information System in 2004. After graduating from USC, Dan attended Midland Technical College.

Dan was an employee of Schneider Electric of Columbia, SC for 15 years.

Dan was preceded in death by: his sister, Shanna Burgess; his nephew, Tarrik M Mack-Sumpter; his uncles, Herman Edwards and James Nowlin; his aunt, Bernice McFadden; his grandparents, Howard and Eula Edwards, and Elder William and Rubell Nowlin.

Dan leaves to cherish: his parents, Dan and Joeretta Nowlin of Cades, SC; one brother, Anthony (Vikki) Nowlin of Sumter, SC; seven aunts, Elizabeth (Lee) Fleming of Kingstree, SC, Luttie Bell (Thad) Swindler of Kingstree, SC, Asalee Zellers and Lula Mae Green both of Charleston, SC, Lorena Nowlin, Ellen (Vern) McKnight, Evade Hutson; four uncles, Dave Nowlin, John Nowlin of Cades, SC, Mack (Sarah) Nowlin and Howard (Joyce) Edwards of Kingstree, SC; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 125 Martin Rd., Cades, SC.
