With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Catherine McCutcheon, 84, of Lake City, SC, widow of the late March McCutcheon, who passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Life Reflections

Catherine McCutcheon was born to the late Flossie and Harris Jones, Sr. on January 13, 1940, in Lake City, South Carolina. She was the third oldest of seven children. She transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at her home in Lake City, South Carolina.

Catherine attended the public schools of Lake City, South Carolina. She was employed at various companies throughout her life. Catherine was loved by many. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Catherine joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Lake City, South Carolina at a young age and was an active member until she became ill several years ago. She enjoyed singing in the choir.

Catherine was married to the late March McCutcheon.

Catherine was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three children, Derrick McCutcheon, Rosalind McCutcheon and Terrence McCutcheon; five siblings, three sisters, Evelyn Daniels, Rachel Jones and Lebby Jones and two brothers, Lewis Jones and Ralph Jones; in addition, one beloved grandson that she reared in the home, Loren McCutcheon.

She leaves to cherish her memories the following loved ones: one son, Stafford (Nicole) McCutcheon of Rahway, NJ; three devoted grandchildren that she reared in the home, Trevis McCutcheon, Dale McCutcheon and Crystal McCutcheon all of Lake City, SC; one daughter-in-law, Marie McCutcheon of Brunswick, GA; one brother, Harris (Linda) Jones of York, SC; two special nephews, Robert Jones of Lake City, SC and Wayne Jones of Columbia, SC; in addition to these mentioned loved ones, she leaves four additional grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren, three nephews, four nieces; a host of cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.
