Life Reflections

Brenda Gail McCrea Scott, daughter of the late Senate McCrea and Mattie Scott McCrea, was born on June 21, 1949 in Kingstree, South Carolina. She passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026 in Manning, South Carolina.

Brenda attended Kingstree Senior High School. She worked at Baxter Laboratories for many years.

Brenda married Richard Scott on December 28, 1990. She was preceded in death by one son, Rodney McCrea Morris.

Brenda is survived by: her husband, Richard Scott of the home; one daughter, Chasey (David) Brown of Cheraw, SC; one son, Ronald Morris, Jr. of Turbeville, SC; one sister, Linda Carolyn McCrea of Cheraw, SC; one brother, Daniel Oneal McCrea of Kingstree, SC; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Alston, Alyvia, Bryan, Ashley and Taylor; two brothers-in-law, Linen (Ella) Scott and Matthew Scott both of Kingstree, SC; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
