Life Reflections

Deacon Billy Gene Robinson was born on April 18, 1942, and departed this earth on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Deacon Billy Robinson was born in Andrews, South Carolina to the late James "Boss" and Katherine Robinson.

His siblings, Geneva (Cannon) Cumbie of Andrews SC, Jane (Milton) McKnight of Andrews SC, Jack (Virginia) Robinson of Wilmington NC, Bessie (Ike) Johnson of Rochester NY, Edna Robinson of Jersey City, NJ and Hazel Robinson of Jersey City, NJ, Don McCray and Frankie McCray of Andrews, SC, all preceded him in death.

Deacon Billy Robinson was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He was a very faithful member. He was the head Deacon until his health declined.

He also was very diligent to his community, a member of the Fire Department and a member of the Potato Ferry Community Center until his health failed. Deacon Robinson was employed at MT Chemical, now known as TriBio for 32 years.

Deacon Robinson had unconditional love for his wife, love for his family and his community; the life he lived speaks for him.

Deacon Robinson leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Elizabeth Robinson; three sons and three daughters, Elizabeth (Frank) Thompson of St Paul, NC, Billy Jr. (Jancie) Robinson of Andrews, SC, Lloyd (Patricia) Robinson of Andrews, SC, Tammy Robinson of Andrews, SC, Pearletha (James) Shackleford of Andrews, SC, Herbie (Margie) Robinson of Andrews, SC;  to help keep the family legacy alive, Deacon Robinson also leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters and two brothers: Bernell (Cleven) Snow, Geraldine Robinson both of Jersey City, NJ, Norris (Sylvester) Clinton, Helen Robinson both of Rochester, NY, Shirley Giles of Andrews, SC, Leon (Lou Estell) McCray and Anthony (Geraldine) McCray both of Andrews, SC; one sister-in-law, Virginia (Jack) Robinson of Wilmington NC, he also leaves three grandchildren he raised as his own, Travis Robinson, Sherett Robinson and Lamar Robinson; eighteen grandchildren, great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 758 Robinson Road, Andrews, SC.
