Life Reflections

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.              Revelations 21:4

Bernard Leander Mazyck, 74, of the South Santee section of McClellanville, South  Carolina, entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 5:33 PM at Tidelands  Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Bernard, affectionately known as "Bunny," was born to the late David and Mazzie Lee  Mazyck. He was a gentle, kind-hearted man whose love for family was evident in all that he  did. Bunny was known for his warm spirit, easygoing nature, and the genuine care he  extended to everyone he encountered

Although he did not have children of his own, Bunny embraced his role as a devoted uncle.  He poured unconditional love into his nieces and nephews, treating them as his own and  creating bonds that will forever be cherished. One of his greatest joys in life was traveling,  and he made it a priority to share those experiences with his family. From relaxing trips to  Orlando, Florida, to unforgettable journeys to Nassau, Bahamas, Bunny never missed an  opportunity to create lasting memories.

Bunny also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He adored his golf cart and riding lawn mower, and he was a familiar and comforting presence throughout the community, often  seen riding along with a peaceful spirit and a friendly wave.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Blake; and his brothers, David  Mazyck and James Mazyck.

Bunny leaves to cherish his precious memories: a niece who was like a daughter, Yolanda (Lee), who lovingly took him under their wing and cared for him; Jarease Skinner, whom he loved and cared for as a son; his devoted nieces and nephews, Margaret, Quiana (Timothy), Cassandra, Stephanie, Jasmine (Tamarz), Ayana, Keyondria, Jahamauri, Denajah, and Symiea, whom he adored; his sister in-law, Cynthia Mazyck; special cousins, Daisy (Samuel) Campbell and Michael (Patsy) Mack; his neighbors, George Campbell "Salty", Carolyn Smalls and Eddie Sutton; a special cousin, Mycheal Mack; and a host of loving great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and presence.

All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Andrews, SC. 843-354-2292 .
