With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Barbara Jean Clark, 63, of Manning, SC, who passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Life Reflections

God walked in His garden and plucked from among His selected flowers, Ms. Barbara Jean Clark.

On October 9th, 1960, in Manning, South Carolina, Mr. Moses (Sykes) Clark and Annie Mae Johnson-Clark were blessed with a baby girl, Barbara Jean.

She was reared in Manning, South Carolina and received her education at Manning High School.

Her early Christian upcoming was in Mt. Chapel Baptist Church in the Jordan Community.

Through tranquil and turbulent times, she remained steadfast and unmovable, working while it was day. She knew her real sense of security was in seeking those things that were above. Throughout her ups and downs she kept the faith. Her smiles were so gentle and never ending, her concern for others was a perfect example of God's love.

Barbara was brought to Charleston, South Carolina to Medical University Hospital where she was given good care. Later she was moved to Lowcountry Community Hospice House until her death. Her cousin Charlena Singleton was looking after her while she was in Charleston, South Carolina.

On the night of Tuesday, July 30, 2024 she took her journey into "Joy Everlasting".

Barbara was preceded in death by: her mother and father, Annie Mae Johnson-Clark and Mr. Moses (Sykes) Clark; one sister, Annie Jewel Clark and four brothers, Moses Lee Green, Charles Clark, Joseph Clark and James Clark.

Those left to mourn her passing but rejoice her entry into triumphant joy are: two sons, Antonio Clark and Tyleak Clark both of Manning, SC; sisters, Shelia Marie Clark of Manning, SC, Lillie Mae Clark Johnson of Buffalo, NY, Pinease Clark Robinson (Frank) of Columbia, SC, Loretta Clark of Washington, DC, Bernice Clark of Buffalo, NY, Louvenia Felder of Sumter, SC and Ruth Ann Felder of Connecticut; brothers, John Peter Clark (Helen) of Manning, SC, Robert Lee Clark of Newark, NJ, Kenny Clark (Judy) of Rochester, NY and Edward Clark (Brenda) of Manning, SC; two grandchildren, Tru'Laysia Mahoney and Tyler Clark; one great grandchild, Tierra Danielle Mahoney-Wilbon; one uncle, Eugene White of Moncks Corner, SC; a sister-in-law, Barbara Clark of Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends and family at 1076 Cecil Rd, Manning, SC.
