With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Anna Alston, 66, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Life Reflections

Anna was born on October 16, 1958 in Georgetown, South Carolina, to her loving parents, Isaac P. Collington and Clara Doiley. Her father, Isaac and three children, Latasha, Allen and Frederick; great grandson, Sinjiah and two brothers, Edward and Sam, all preceded her in death.

She was educated in Georgetown County Public Schools. Shortly after high school, Rita married the love of her life, Mr. John Allen Eaddy, who has since passed away. This union was blessed with four children. Later in life, Rita met and married Mr. Ernest Alston of Georgetown, SC.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, after a brief , unexpected illness, Rita ascended to eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of those who knew and adored her, including: her husband, Mr. Ernest Alston; children, Lasha Eaddy of Rockingham, NC and Elicia Doiley of Florence, SC; mother, Clara Grove of South Carolina; siblings, Derrick Grove (Michele)  and Curtis Grove both of Andrews, SC, Jack Doiley, Joseph Collington and Frances Salters (Joe) all of Georgetown, SC, Issac Collington (Tina) of Conway, SC, Michelle Grove of New Jersey; Patricia Grove of South Carolina, Debrah Grove of Mississippi and Terry Grove (Michelle) of Fayetteville, NC; grandkids, Tamar Bryant, Latesha Bryant, Kayson Eaddy, Presious Linnen and Tyshawn Eaddy; great grandchildren, Ny'Zeria Bryant and Kashawn Linnen; and a host of other relatives, including uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving friends and family at 186 Rustwood Drive, Georgetown, SC.
