With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Akeem Lamont Johnson, 33, of Georgetown, SC, who passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Remembering Akeem

Akeem Lamont Johnson was born on January 16, 1993 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital to Lekeyshia John and Lamont Woodard. He was the second child born to the pair.

Akeem affectionally known as "Keem" and "Da Dreamz" attended Alpha Holiness Church. He received his formal education in the public schools of Georgetown County. It was at Georgetown High School where he participated in JROTC which would stick with him throughout his life.

As an adult, Akeem was a very hard worker, sometimes working three jobs at once. He was extremely talented and he used his gift to make music. His smooth voice and effortless raps layered every beat with perfection. His greatest joy, however, was his son, Akeem, Jr.

Akeem will be remembered as a fun, outgoing, loving young man with the heart of a soldier.

Akeem was preceded in death by two brothers, Lashawn Johnson and Jayden Woodward.

Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Akeem Lamont Johnson, Jr; two brothers, Deshawn Johnson and Erin Hines (Lauren), Jr.; five sisters, Latoya Shazier (Nathaniel), T'Ziah Woodward, Samantha Brown, Niomi Johnson, and Leslarae Johnson; grandparents, Judy Strickland, Wilson and Jean Johnson; his girlfriend, Tiffany Matthews; one niece and one nephew; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other loved ones.

All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Andrews, SC. 843-354-2292.
