Life Reflections
Abraham "Tiger" McFadden born to the late Clauddie McFadden and Sue McFadden on December 18, 1934, in Clarendon County. Abraham transitioned into his eternal rest on February 25, 2026.
Abraham graduated from Williamsburg Training Center, Kingstree, South Carolina. He later married the love of his life in 1956, Mrs. Mary Louise Robinson, and to this union nine children were born. Abraham worked at the Ford Company for a period of time; from there he went on to work for Williamsburg County Sheriffs Office. After some time, there he then went to work for Greeleyville Police Department. For over thirty years, him and his wife traveled to Columbia to sell vegetables for the Seed of Hope of South Carolina. They help many homes with fresh vegetables. He was very well known and loved by many. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
At an early age, Abraham accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He attended Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church where he served on many boards, one being Superintendent of Sunday School. He was a mentor to the community; he was very concerned about the youth. One of his favorite sayings was "Don't hate nobody; treat everybody right", and he lived by that.
Abraham was preceded in death by: his parents, Clauddie and Sue McFadden; his wife, Mary Louise Robinson McFadden; one son, James Edward McFadden, one daughter, Shirley Mae McFadden, two brothers, Willie James McFadden and Clauddie McFadden, Jr.; and two sisters, Leatha Mae McFadden and Lou Reese.
"Tiger" leaves to cherish his lasting and loving memories: his five sons, Abraham (Kathy) McFadden, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, Joe McFadden and Terry McFadden both of the home, Micheal McFadden of Greensboro, NC and Matthew McFadden of Greeleyville, SC; two loving daughters, Vernetha McFadden of Kingstree, SC and Sandy Covington of Salters, SC; three sisters, Virginia Ferguson of NY, ODessa Hill of NY, Mary Ann Robinson of Salters, SC; two sisters-in-law, Lou Alma Robinson and Julia Robinson both of Greeleyville, SC; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 1224 Burgess Road, Greeleyville, SC.
All arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Henryhand Funeral Home of Kingstree, SC - 843-354-2292.
