Abragail Kenet
Leacock
Nov 9, 1988 — May 1, 2025
Columbia
With deepest sorrow we at Henryhand Funeral Home regret to announce the passing of Abragail Kenet Leacock, 36, of Columbia, SC, formerly of Kingstree, SC, wife of Shamori Leacock, who passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Life Reflections
Abragail Leacock, affectionately known as Abby, was a force of nature wrapped in a warm smile and a killer pair of sneakers. Born on November 9, 1988, to Kenneth and Jeannette McCray, Abby lit up the world with her vibrant personality, fierce love, and unstoppable spirit. She passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
From the beginning, Abby's life was marked by strength. Diagnosed with biliary atresia as a child, she underwent two liver transplants by her early teens. But Abby didn't just survive—she thrived. She faced every battle with grace, courage, and an unshakable faith in God that became her anchor and testimony.
She was a proud sneakerhead, always rocking the freshest kicks with style and confidence. She had music in her soul, a passion for dancing, and an undying love for scary movies—even the ones that kept the rest of us up at night. Her laugh was contagious, her spirit magnetic, and her presence unforgettable.
Abby was a devoted wife to Shomari Leacock, a fiercely loving mother to her daughter Amari, and a cherished sister to Kenishia and Virginia McCray. She was also deeply loved by her in-laws, Mr. Pete and Zelda Leacock.
She leaves behind not only her immediate family but a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and a nephew who adored her. Her impact stretched across generations, and her love knew no limits.
Abby lived boldly, danced freely, and praised loudly. She fought the good fight. She finished her race. She kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). And now, she's resting—probably dancing through Heaven in a fresh pair of Jordans, bumping her favorite playlist, and catching a scary movie with the angels.
Abby, your light continues to shine in every beat, every laugh, every memory. You may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
