James Tisdale

Life Legacy

James “T-Bone” Tisdale was introduced to the world on February 10, 1948, as the son of Mrs. Louise Chandler Tisdale and the late Mr. Floyd Tisdale.

James entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at his residence in Kingstree, South Carolina.

James accepted Christ, and became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Kingstree, South Carolina. “T-Bone,” as he was affectionately called, graduated from St. Mark High School in the year of 1968. After high school, he moved to Hollywood, Florida. He worked at the Golf Course Plantation, construction and in furniture delivery and worked on cars. He loved building race cars. “Papa,” as he was affectionately called later in life, played softball. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking good soul food, his specialty was cat fish stew.
In 1972, James was united in Holy Matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Mrs. Carnetta Henryhand. This union was blessed with two children.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Carnetta Tisdale of Kingstree, SC; his loving children, Darryl Tisdale and Tawanda (Troy) Epps both of Kingstree, SC; his mother, Louise Tisdale of Kingstree, SC; one step-daughter, Ladana (Odel) Phair of Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Lula Tisdale of Kingstree, SC; two brothers, Jayee (Rovenia) Tisdale of Andrews, SC, and Amos (Shirley) Tisdale of West Park, FL; two aunts, Mary Scott of Rochester, NY and Almatine Williams of Kingstree, SC; four uncles, Deacon Payton (Sarah) Tisdale and Hermon Tisdale both of Andrews, SC, Leo Tisdale of College Park, GA, and Otto Tisdale of Troy, NY; nine grandchildren; six sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
