Mrs. Mary Lee Wilson was born on March 1, 1948 in Kingstree, South Carolina, to the late Woodrow and Beulah Mae Wilson. On Sunday, April 3, 2011, at 6:30 P.M. in Tidelands Hospice, Georgetown, South Carolina, God called her home to rest.
Mary Lee was educated at Battery Park School. She was a member of Mt. Seal United Methodist Church in the Battery Park Community, later she joined Howard Grove Holiness Church and was a very active member. Mary was employed at Bluewater Resort for 15 years.
On June 20, 1968, Mary Lee married the love of her life, Leroy Jones. To this union two children were born, along with two older daughters. Two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death: Helen Witherspoon, Robin Wilson, Woodrow, James and Tony Wilson
Mary Lee was one that expressed love through giving and caring. Mary Lee was a family and community person who loved to fish and cookout with family and friends.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Theresa “Precious” Wilson, Hugie Cooper, Willie Mae “Joann” (Walter) Johnson, Lee Ann (Junior) Wilson; one son, Levern Wilson “Bubbie”; also a special grand that she raised, Kevin Wilson; two sisters, Geneva (Willie) Cooper of Kingstree, SC, and Betsy Wilson of Hemingway, SC; two brothers, Larry (Debra) Wilson of Hemingway, SC, and Neil (Sharon) Wilson of Hemingway, SC; one sister-in-law, Gloria Jean Wilson; two aunts, Lucille Brown and Emma Lee Jenkinson; five uncles, Harry Wilson, Wilbur Wilson (Sandra), Walsh Wilson (Betty), Ned Cunningham, and Senior McCray; along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
