Send Flowers

Regina “Gina” Tanee Dingle McCray, 37, of Wilmington, North Carolina, departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, North Carolina.
Gina was born in Charleston, South Carolina on October 24, 1976 to Rickey Dingle and Laverne M. Jones. She was educated in the public schools of Berkeley County.
Gina was an excellent cosmetologist. She had an excitement for doing hair; however, she was extremely passionate about writing, fashion and music. She was a gracious writer. She wrote poetry ever since her teenage years. Later on in life, Regina decided that because she was a great writer she would become a poet; her poetry became her lyrics and her lyrics became her music. Regina had a love for anyone that would allow her to love them. She would, at times, take in children who she did not know. According to her, “they had nowhere else to go.” Regina had a love for animals and her favorite were birds. Regina was a fashionista, everywhere she went she was always dressed to impress.
Gina was preceded in death by her grandmother, Julia Hynn; two grandfathers, Melvin “Jr.” Hynn and Frances Dingle; one brother, Andre Cleveland; an uncle and aunt, Kenneth “Cookie” and Patricia “Trice” Hynn.
Gina leaves behind to cherish her memories: seven children, Taniqua Dingle of Columbia, SC, Romereo Palmer of Bonneau, SC, Phazja McCray, Latroya McCray, Troy McCray, Derreik Jones and Derion Jones all of Wilmington, NC; two grandchildren, Kylah Palmer and Romereo Palmer, Jr.; her mother, Laverne M. Jones of Wilmington, NC; her father, Rickey J. Dingle of St. Stephen, SC; one brother, Elliot (Carla) Dingle of Newport News, VA; four sisters, Anitra Dingle of Wilmington, NC, Demetria (William) White of St. Stephen, SC, India M.
